Hiking & Mountain Biking Begin each day on the seven-mile trail system at Stablewood Springs Resort. Organized hikes, rides and runs will be posted daily with our daily bulletin. Private guides are available on an hourly-fee basis.

Hunting Located within 20 miles of Stablewood Springs Resort are several world-famous Texas Hill Country hunting ranches. These ranches offer everything from exotic species such as the Arabian Oryx, to the native Texas White Tail and wild hogs. We will be happy to discuss ranch options and put you in touch with a qualified hunting guide who can help personalize your experience. Hunting packages are available.

Horseback Riding Enjoy the beautiful Texas Hill Country from the saddle of one of these spirited horses. Your wrangler will guide you through rocky Hill Country terrain on secluded trails surrounded by the natural beauty of the forest with its abundant wildlife and exotic birds. You may choose a half- or one-hour ride, or a “Lead Ride” in the riding arena. For your safety we provide a helmet and recommend that you wear long pants and closed-toed shoes to the ankle.

Hill Country Shooting Sports Center Situated on 140 acres, the Hill Country Shooting Sports Center features activities that include trap, skeet, bunker trap, rifle, pistol, and sporting clay. The range offers shotgun rentals, ammunition, and instruction for those just getting started or trying to fine-tune their shooting skills. This full service shooting range accommodates National and International events and hosts many competitions, including the US Olympic & World Cup team qualifying in 2008.
